I would probably write more LJ posts, if i had a more exciting life.

It's been so so so nice out the past few days but I've just been wasting it by doing things like…not going outside. And watching What Not To Wear, and watching the Aqua Teen movie with Bekah because really, why would you not pay to see that movie?

Tomorrow is the last day of vacation. I don't know how that happened. I have so much stuff to do in the next week and I don't really understand why because I'm supposed to be a second semester senior.

I am applied, almost! So now it's just waiting until February 15, and then, if not, some more waiting. But it's (almost) second semester, which means I don't care anymore. And winter is passing, fucking slowly, but we've gotten through, like, a month.

I'm going back to camp, and George is going to Sangamon for two weeks. Um, so we'll see how that goes.

A Tribute to Julia

There's this girl I know named Julia who is pretty awesome. She thinks she sucks at life, but it's really the opposite. Julia sits next to me in Spanish class, and has for many moons now. Julia has lots of boyfriends, often more than one at the same time (but then they're not exactly boyfriends), but sometimes she still believes that she is not gorgeous (I will disprove this theory later, because I don't have time to upload any hott pictures right now). Julia is the only person I know who appreciates Andy, Akiva and Jorma as much as me, as well as all the other lame shit we somehow find. Julia and I enjoy talking about other people, particularly those people in our clase de español. Julia understands how entertaining it is to go through yearbooks and judge who is Hot or Not. She's good to talk to on long bus rides. Or plane or train rides. I will miss her a whole lot if I ever go to Pomona (IF I GET IN).
She keeps yelling at me to post, so I guess I'm done.

Julia and I were at the Natick Mall. We were trying to leave, but we were kind of lost. We went the wrong way, or, it was the right way, but in my dream it was the wrong way.

We kept going and the landscape got kind of desolate, and then we were about to go down this huge rocky hill, and then we looked at our GPS system. I don't know why we didn't do that before. Or why I had a GPS system. But anyway, we looked at it, we were like OH MY GOD WE'RE IN CALIFORNIA. Yeah and we were on like the California/Arizona border. So (naturally) we turned around and started heading back.

Then we ended up going through some kind of nature reserve, and it was like a jungle. And we were on a monorail. And there were a lot of other people with us, like a family and stuff. Then the train passed by Richard. That's Richard Moran. And Julia was like, "He's really hot!" And I was like, yeah.

We kept going, and we got to like a snack bar or something, and all the stuff that was cooking smelled REALLY bad. I was like "I don't want anything," and Julia was like, "Don't you want something? Eat something," and I was like "I DON'T WANT ANYTHING!"

Then we were back in my car I think, and we asked someone how to get back to the mall…and then get OUT of the mall. They told us to go to the big highway or the main highway or something. Then there were all these signs that pointed to the "Main Highway." I think I woke up as we were driving along the highway, but we couldn't figure out how to actually get onto it.

I do not like writing about myself. Because. It sucks. I don't know how to sum myself up. It always ends up like a long, rambling rant, because I just go off on tangents like oh, and yeah I do this too, and I think that, and I am this, etc. I can't focus on my essay because my essay doesn't have a focus. I need a focus. This has to be done by tomorrow. I'll probably just end up writing about camp.

This weekend, will someone see The Science of Sleep with me, because I really really really really need to see it. I mean want to. But no, need. Es necesario.

Oh, and my parents are back from Greece, and I don't like it too much. It's all nagging about college and telling me to clean stuff up. I was doing okay, so clearly I don't need you to come back here and take over my life again. Go away.

So this one time, I went to New York. I spent four hours (and too many dollars) on a train that would take me to Penn Station so I could see some people that I kind of like, you know, A LOT. We posed with wax people and hung out on rooftops at night. Then we went to a rally for Darfur.

School sucks. I'm tired of it. I don't think I need to learn any more about physics because truthfully I don't give a shit about how to find the average OR instantaneous velocity of the dragster. However, I will keep on keepin' on because I do want to get into college. P.S. has anyone else gotten this "VIP" application email from the University of Vermont, and what is it? It's some wierd scam right? I don't get it.

I swear I had something else to say. It may have had something to do with my dissatisfaction with the hour at which I will be dining tonight, which is about an hour an a half later than usual. I am very upset, too upset to do any physics reading.

I guess I haven't done a real entry in a while.

CAMP. Was incredible. Dude. LIU. The end. I can't not go back next year. I think. Being STAF was…I don't know, people say it sucks, but I liked it. And yeah, I had to pay, but whatever. Next year, getting paid to do almost the same thing will be so worth it. I miss days off. And I miss…yeah everything.

And then Peru. That was amazing. I don't like saying cheesy stupid things like this, but it was probably the most rewarding experience of my life. Feeling like I was helping…and helping people that wanted to be helped, and who wanted to help themselves. And I'm going to miss it so much. I just keep thinking of all the things and the people I'll never see again…JP, moto taxis, the co-ed bathroom, choko bars, the comedor…just all the things that made Visions Peru what it was. And I hate that I think of past experiences as things that I'll never get back, rather than as good memories. I miss being in another culture and speaking another language. It's wierd, but I just want to leave America and go somewhere else, and see something completely different.

On that note, I'm seeing Snakes on a Plane tonight. God Bless America.

There was this great surprise Forum dinner for Mr. Schechter. Haha I love Forum people. With whom else can you can talk about what the world would be like if you had to communicate through interpretive dance…and where else would I hear about a trip to Haiti where the last of the food money had to be spent on a hotel because the border to the Dominican Republic closed at 4. Gerald cannot drive, but it's okay because he's basically my hero.

But anyway…District B-13 is the best action movie. Ever. And now I want to learn French. Or something.

Vacation is nice. I visited Tufts yesterday and it's really nice there. And then I gave this Indian family directions to undergraduate admissions. Good times! I'm leaving tomorrow to do some more searching.

Also I found a possible prom dress. We should all get together and show each other ours. We should all get together, period. And see this movie.

The new Forum group is amazing. And I love "my assistant," except I really shouldn't call her that. Except I'm going to.

Soooooo midterms aren't that bad. Actually it's the studying that's baaaad, I mean, I missed Lost just to study for math. That's crazy. yeah

When I got home today I watched a bad movie on HBO On Demand for like an hour because I fast forwarded through all the boring parts…it was sooo cool. Ummm now to figure out a way to fast forward my REAL LIFE until winter is over.
